I began working on my primary bedroom and wanted to share my inspiration! The room is being designed around my dream bed. I first noticed the Brock Poster bed at Arhaus almost two years ago and finally had the opportunity to place my order! My eye is drawn to modern design and clean lines so my choice in bed frame comes as no surprise to me. With the bed frame being such a large statement piece, I have decided that my decor and accompanying furniture be more minimalist in nature. My goal is to recreate an upscale hotel experience in my bedroom. I most likely will paint the walls Alabaster by Sherwin Williams, which has been my white hue of choice for this entire renovation. I have a linen closet that I will be removing and turning into an alcove for a large floor length mirror. A feminine print wallpaper would be fun to install in that area for a fun “outfit check” experience! I love the “Valley” print from Serena & Lily and will use that as inspiration for a more budget friendly option.
This is my first time creating a mood board before starting a project. I wish I had done this before as it really helps to organize and communicate my vision to others. I have always been a very visual person but sometimes struggle to put my visions into words. I rely a lot on Pinterest for inspiration, but the mood board is a more deconstructive approach that allows me to focus on the details from each pin that I want to incorporate into my bedroom. I would highly recommend giving a mood or vision board a try to help you organize your next project. I am currently waiting on a few quotes for drywall work and cannot wait to share the final result with you all!
